Hampton by Hilton better
The Hilton is not quite as nice as the Hampton by Hilton on broad st. The breakfast was very poor. Mainly for Americans with sliced potatoes and not a great choice. Would have thought this would have been better than its cheaper sister.

Noisy building work
My stay was marred by noisy building work in the hotel involving power tools.
This disrupted my sleep on what was intended to be a rare chance to rest.
I was not informed about this in advance, otherwise I would have stayed elsewhere. I feel conned.
On contacting reception, they refused to halt it and simply said that it would be continuing.

Lovely weekend away
Was a lovely stay the hotel was clean and very comfortable smelt lovely and the stuff were very helpful would definitely stay again

Excellent receptionist, who pointed out that if I joined the Hilton Honors program I could extend my checkout from midday to 2pm. Absolute ‘no-brainer’ and why wouldn’t I?

When "Pay at Hotel" is not pay at hotel.
I booked for me and 16 colleagues to stay at the hotel, choosing the pay at hotel option with Hotels.com. By midday on the day of check-in the hotels had taken 16 separate payments from my credit card. Hotels.com took no responsibility for this and passed the blame onto the hotel. The hotel weren't in the slightest bit apologetic and stated that it was their policy to do this and it would be refunded in 24/48 hours. It would appear "Pay at Hotel" is not a literal term. Hotels.com whilst willing to engage via live chat on the topic offered me no satisfactory resolution and could not provide me with the T&C's where i had supposedly agreed to this. I will be reviewing my legal options for recourse.
