Beautiful, clean, warm and welcoming environment
After looking at a LOT of places we chose this hotel so we could have my mom (a local) over and spend time with her and celebrate Christmas a little early. We are just far enough away that a day trip isn’t possible and she rents a room from a friend. I’ve had a good amount of bad experiences even with highly rated hotels. So if you’re on the fence, book this hotel! When I walked in the hotel smelled BEAUTIFUL. I’ve never experienced that. Only harsh cleaner smell covering up funk or old musty smells or nothing. But the warm and simply decorated environment plus the warm front desk staff was already a 5 star experience. I think they even upgraded our room to a Grand suite with a balcony for free. It was rainy otherwise I would have used it. The room was super clean and had tons of space for us to hang out and spend quality time together. I made sides for a small Christmas dinner in the kitchen which had its own little alcove. Sleeping was quiet and the beds are a bit old and soft. Still, I slept and didn’t wake in pain. The only downside was the bathroom walls were very dirty; they need a new coat of paint. Shower had tons of cobwebs on the ceiling and the conditioner was empty. Breakfast was continental but not careless. Everything was neatly laid out and clean and I was surprised by the amount of options in their little fridge like different cream cheeses, cottage cheese, a breakfast sandwich and tomato juice.

Large clean room with comfortable bed and great pillows. Very good access to shopping ( huge outlet mall) and to the trail along the American River. Also very close to Historic Downtown Folsom. We will definitely stay here again

I UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR POLICY WAS FOR DOGS TO ONLY BE ON YOUR FIRST FLOOR BUT I NOTICED A GUEST HAD A LARGE DOG ON THE 4TH FLOOR IN ROOM 409 DURING MY 3 NIGHT STAY ALSO SMOKERS ARE STANDING OUT SIDE OF THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIRST FLOOR AND THE SMOKE IS BLOWING INTO THE HOTEL AND YOU HAVE NO SMOKE CONTAINERS FOR THERE BUTTS! Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel property itself is in disrepair. Most of the door locks I encountered were half broken and you were never sure if you were going to get in! The room had a musty smell, the toilet ran all night and the tub faucet felt like it was ready to fall off.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
The process for paying for a room, same-day was terrible. Was forced to use a Third-Party (Hotels.com) for an additional $50 above cost of room. No need as my credit card guaranteed the room regardless of how I booked it. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again
