Overall service and experience in line with other IBIS hotels as I have always enjoyed staying in those, first time stayed in 2* which explains why there is no kettle or tea/coffee in the room. Excellent for 2* family stay for overall cleanliness and service. Rooms very clean and fresh, and impressive outside and the communal area, nice to relax with a fireplace and a good restaurant, professional and helpful reception. There was an issue with the shower and got asked to move the rooms which was an inconvenience quickly reconciled with a voucher for free drinks which was a positive outcome. We did not buy the breakfast and came to relax on a family holiday to allow my family to get plenty of rest and sleep. Unfortunately, some of the cleaning staff would bang on the door so loud in a rude manner and were very unpleasant when door was opened, knowing the room is occupied so the privacy of us as guests was interrupted with an arrest-warrant style bang every morning which was both stressful and inconvenient. For both rooms we were placed in, the first door on the corridor where cleaning trolley was left constantly outside my door, with multiple cleaners blocking the way and being very noisy and impolite. Most staff were incredible, however did not feel safe to leave my belongings in room while going to explore, some were moved and sunglasses went missing, cleaning staff always coming in and out of rooms mine included, even though I did not request them to change towels/bedding.
