Room was uncomfortable; sheets were scratchy & pillows were incredibly flat. Mattress was also not the best quality & both myself & partner had back and/or neck pain the other day.
We were originally supposed to receive a King, however, when we went to check in, the room was already booked I.e. we walked in & someone was still in the room, luggage out & all. The front desk comp’ed us 2 diet cokes, vitamin water, & fruit cups. However, we were moved to a two queen room.
Staff was nice & location was great, but overall we cut our stay short for the weekend just due to discomfort. When we checked out early, the front desk did not provide a refund since we had not booked via their website.
Another note is that there is a whistle that goes off 5+ times a day in Corning beginning at 6:45 AM. This would be loud from any hotel in the area, not specifically a problem for this hotel. But after a restless night, it was certainly no help.
Overall, the staff was very pleasant, but the hotel was uncomfortable & experience didn’t reflect the charge.
