We were impressed initially with the room's appearance. It was clean, it was well-organized, and our room had an AMAZING view of the pool and lagoon areas.
However, the elevator in our building was down. This meant we had to walk across 3 other buildings to reach our room. Being disabled, this made things a bit more difficult to get around the hotel, since I was physically unable to use the stairs.
The ice makers in 3 separate buildings were not working, leading to a semi-scavenger hunt for ice. However, after calling the front desk on two separate nights, they finally gave me the location of the only operating ice machine during our stay. Unfortunately, it was on the opposite side of the resort.
Our room was nice, however, the fan in our room was not working. The light in our room did not turn on. The light in the "main room" area did not turn on, either.
The Oasis is apparently closed until August, by the way. So that was a huge bummer, since we still had to pay the resort fee for the Oasis. Maybe they shouldn't advertise it until they open in back up. Or at least tell people at check in.
However, after spending over $900 on this hotel for 4 nights, I wasn't going to let this ruin our stay. We still had a great time in Orlando, going to Universal most days we were there. I wish we had more time to see the amenities that we paid $200 extra for, but that's not the hotel's fault, so I can't blame them for that. Plus, the housekeeping staff did an amazing job.
