Although the location isn’t close to Time Square but it is very close to the subway and many other sightseeing destinations such as the Trump Tower, the Museum of Modern Art, the Central Park, St. Thomas Church, St. Patrick Cathedral and the Grand Central Terminal, etc. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who not only want a comfortable sleep but also with a helpful and extra nice front desk service experience.

Big rooms
This was my second time staying here. The location is perfect because it's central to everything, but the best part is the rooms are very large, over 400 ft.² which is very hard to find in New York City. Being that it's me and my two adult daughters with two pieces of luggage each, we need that extra space. Most hotel rooms in New York are less than 300 ft.² or sometimes even less than 200 ft.², this hotel is perfect because of the room size and the location. It doesn't have the same amenities of some other hotels like a big lobby with a bar or anything like that but it does have a small little coffee breakfast area on the 12th floor. But there's plenty of places to grab food all around the hotel because of the perfect location. It also had a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Decent view too. The price is super for all this as well! Will definitely be back again.

No cooling in December
It was a comfortable sized room but there was no cooling a/c in the room. When we asked why the thermostat wouldn’t go below 72 degrees we were told that since it’s winter there was no cooling in the rooms but that cracking the window should work. They offered a fan for the room which helped a little but for the cost of the hotel cooling should have been an option.

inadequately prepared for peak times
We have stayed at this hotel several times before and no issues. This time very different. we arrived at 2PM and were told that checkin is at 4PM. We will be contacted when rooms are ready. The hotel was totally behind schedule with a long wait list of rooms to be done before our turn. We left the hotel to enjoy the city while waiting for our room. We never got contacted by front desk about the room. I could not call the front desk as I would get routed to a central reservation system with a long wait time. As a result we could not take a chance to come back and change for our dinner. Upon our return at 10PM, still took 15+ min and 2 hotel employees to get us the room. It seem like they didnt know if there was a room ready or not. Rather stressful at 10PM, having to wait and not knowing whats going on Wifi did not work at all during the stay - thats terrible. Considering we paid over $2000 for 2 nights. This is completely inacceptable and I expect actions from the hotel and the managment. I want to emphasis that the staff was very good, friendly and courteous. I believe the issue is with the managment and their increase the price during high demand period but their inability to provide the same level of service .

Very Spacious Junior Suite
We really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff and hotel is conveniently located near a subway station so it’s easy to get around. The only thing is the bathroom. Not necessarily a dealbreaker but the bathroom needs better ventilation, more hooks for towels and better wall sockets. My hairdryer wouldn’t stay put bec the wall sockets were so loose. I still will consider this hotel for future visits. The room is very spacious by NYC standards and that makes up for some of the issues.

It was a nice place, a little dated, but I was only there to sleep. My husband was in the hospital and I needed a bed. I didn’t really look into what the hotel offered. The front desk lady who checked me in was very nice !!
