The staff and this hotel are truly wonderful. Canadlero is especially very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and have stayed here twice for over 2 weeks each time. Don't listen to the review's that are bad as they are just complainers and probably complain everywhere they stay. All the staff are trying there very best to make your stay as great as possible. Beautiful place and highly recommend. For the price and what you get it is very reasonable.

Pretty good location. Short distance to town and a short drive to the beach and ruins. Staff was very friendly. Small parking lot with good security. Great having a full kitchen as Tulum restaurants aren’t cheap. Enjoyable stay. Would stay there again. Stayed two nights.

What an amazing place. My husband and I have decided moving forward we will always stay there when we go to Tulum. I have to admit that the noises coming from the other rooms were kind of annoying. But we decided to make the best of it

It’s seems like a nice place, but the cleaning was very bad and therefore it all looked dirty and not taking cared of. We had a room with private pool, but it was more like a big bathtub that wasn’t clean and felt greasy.

Just what we were looking for

This hotel was perfect. The staff was nice, the place was always clean & quiet. Having a kitchenette was a huge help - we stayed for 5 nights and only cooked once because we discovered many good restaurants very close by, but the meal we did make came in handy and we used the fridge and stovetop to store and reheat leftovers. The washer is just a washer - not a combination washer and dryer like we’d hoped for. If you’re looking for a place with easy access to the beach - this is not it, the beach is about a 20 minute scooter/ATV ride away, but having said that we enjoyed the trip to get there and we liked walking around the city center just as much - which this hotel is very close to. Overall if you’re looking for a slightly off the beaten path place to stay and are willing to get a taxi/rent a scooter to explore, then this place is like a calm oasis in a good location.

I did not receive the room I paid for, They manager was there and swearing in Spanish thinking we did not speak Spanish. Then the room was not made. They then gave us the “Luxury Apartment “ I paid for and there was still garbage in the trash can from previos guests. Not recommended to stay here at all. Second time traveling, first time wanted to stay

This was my second time travelling internationally, first time not at an all-inclusive resort. Not going to lie, I was nervous about it going in. The staff at Amaka Calma made us feel welcome from the moment we pulled into the lot after a long delayed day of travel. They spoke English to us at the start seeing how exhausted we were. The next morning after a night of restful sleep in the well AC'd bedroom, I tried to have a conversation in Spanish with the front desk and he was incredibly patient with me, slipping in and out of English to make sure I understood where the conversation was going. This was the continued pattern for the rest of our stay. Greatly appreciated! Beyond the bilingual support, we also were given great details around where to eat, how to take public transit, and about the wonderful Casa Tortuga Cenote experience that we got a discount with through the hotel. Casa Tortuga was the peak moment of our trip, so grateful Amaka Calma had the discounted experience for it! The amenities were great. The room was super spacious with a well-stocked kitchen. The outdoor double level patio was incredible and a great place to spend the early mornings and late nights. The gym got the job done. This was the 2nd time travelling internationally, and unlike the 1st time, I did not want to leave and already want come back. A big part of this was how nice our home base was. When we go back in a few years, we'll certainly look to see if they're open. HIGHLY recommend!

Não tivemos a percepção de trata-se de um sistema de hospedagem de hotel. Parece um condomínio de apartamentos, com serviço de limpeza e um pequeno café da manhã. Não há recepção 24 horas (não vimos funcionários pela noite), e pouco controle de entrada e saída das pessoas. Além disso, os funcionários não falam inglês.

Amaka Calma Tulum is a very nice hotel to spend some time while in Tulum. Located in calm Veletta district with lots of restaurants and kiosks nearby. The 7 nights stay was all in all very good.
