This is a roadside motel, with rooms around $50. For $50, you get a door with 3 locks, new sinks, a good bed, and air conditioning. The service was exceptional and I felt safe. If you are a nervous person, or get frightened by weird motel guests, then pay 3x the price and stay somewhere else. You get what you pay for.
While the motel was nice, Hotels.com could not have been more of a pain. Website didn't work with my gift-card, waited 90 minutes on hold, for someone from a 3rd party call center to say "Try the website again" and then tell me "please hurry up I can't stay on this call". Seriously, that actually happened.
Hotels.com's "secret deal" was to discretely book me into a smoking-allowed Queen room without warning me before the purchase. The front desk attendant was nice enough to upgrade me to a King non-smoking room at no charge which was incredibly nice. I would stay here again just to support the owners of the motel.
Hotels.com/Expedia is a cut-rate scam of a company. Don't use them, just book directly with Motel 6, it'll be the same price and Hotels.com won't swindle money away from the owners.
