It's a perfect stay! (as Lou Reed might have sung)

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mamma Elvira, which is in the old city. A lovely welcome from Serena, the owner, who showed us to our room which was a beautiful suite and private terrace. There was a fridge with a mini bar and bottles of local wine to purchase. We had a problem with our air conditioning early on which was dealt with very promptly Breakfast was continental style with plenty of choice including local savoury and sweet options which Serena explained to us.

Best Lecce accommodaton

What a new beautiful hotel in a perfect spot in the historic center. It is situated no more than 15 minutes to everything that a visitor could require. The area is as picturesque as our apartment that consisted of a well stocked kitchen, a small sitting room on entry, a table, sofa bed, large bedroom with a shower ensuite. The ceiling is breathtaking, the room is quiet and clean. There is a variety of wine for purchase in the room and the breakfast is plentiful with variety including the traditional barley bread soaked in water to soften& topped with seasoning, fresh tomatoes and olive oil. Serena is a beautiful kind person who checked us in, accompanied us to our room and showed it to us with obvious pride. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you Serena.

Con encanto, muy buena situación y buen precio

Uno de los muchos hoteles con encanto en Lecce. Bonita decoración, habitación muy amplia ( era la que tiene vama con dosel), sin embargo el baño era muy pequeño ( es un edificio antiguo y la distribución de los rspscios está limitado por la arquitectura). Tech muy alto. El desayuno no muy amplio pero de muy buena calidad.Costrata excepcional.Los propietarios muy majos, pudimos ocupar las habitaciones sobte la una de la tarde. La cama amplia, un poco dura ( depende del gusto de cada uno ). Mejoraria la habitación con algunas baldas más, pues espacio hay. Un consejo para llegar desde la estación de tren es llegar por la calle principal mas ancha ( hasta los cines), es mas largo el recorrido pero mucho mas cómodo si vas con maletas. Por último, señalar que debido al ser un edificio antiguo no hay ascensor , no es adecuado para personas con limitaciones físicas .

Serena has made our stay so enjoyable in Lecce. Her hearty breakfast and personalize our need. The room was spacious. Clean, quiet and comfortable. We were on the second floor and taking the bags up two flights of stairs was very easy. The area of Lecce is walkable and you can get to the Centri Storico ( historic center) in less than 5 mins walk. Dining options from this area is numerous. There is a 10 leisurely walk to the train station. We walked to the station everytime but taxi is also available if needed and Serena will provide you with that. No need to rent a car if you will stay locally because you can do everything by foot. Highly recommend this place and I would return for sure. Philip

Casa Mamma Elvira is an excellently located, clean and efficient family-run lodge We took the appartment option, and enjoyed a very spacious, pleasantly modern, and well furnished appartment, The lodge provides a satisfying breakfast, and daily cleanup services. The common areas (reception, breakfast salon) occupy two beautiful stone-vaulted halls, with all the visuals of history. The persons in charge are warm, attentive and most welcoming. No elevator - so be ready to use the stairs. Otherwise, just perfect.

Es war einfach fantastisch. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, haben ein wirklich tolles und romantisches Zimmer bezogen. Alle Räumlichkeiten, zu denen wir Zuttritt hatten, waren sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es wird sehr auf Sauberkeit und die Zufriedenheit der Gäste geachtet und eingegangen. The proprietor was very proud of her city and explained the traditional breakfast food and demonstrated how to prepare it for eating. Her husband was fluent in English and helped us with any complicated queries and a little history as well. The ceilings in the hotel and rooms were domed and unique. They also assisted us in how to bring our rental car close to the hotel for loading.

Great location near a lively square in the evening but far enough away so you don’t get any noise. We had suite 5 and used the terrace most days. Rooms were cleaned every day and staff were helpful.

Best overall hotel experience in Puglia

Best stay in a long time! We spent 4 nights at Casa Mamma Elvira and it was overall fantastic. Our apartment was clean and spacious, with a daily cleaning service. They offer a minibar service with different wines, beers and snacks. The breakfast is varied and very tasty, with lots of local specialties. We also had dinner at Cucina di Mamma Elvira and it was really good. Thank you, Serena and all your staff for an outstanding experience!
