Never refunded for a room we never saw or slept in
My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and we were headed to Mexico with a short overnight layover in Miami. I wish I could give a review of this hotel however upon booking the room we called the hotel to inform the desk we had booked a room and we were headed over from the airport. The time was about midnight and we were exhausted and just needed a place to lay our head and get ready for our flight to Mexico in a few hours. The hotel attendant alerted us there were no rooms available and they wouldn’t be available until 11am that morning, our flight to Mexico was at 8am. With this not making any sense and us needing a hotel asap we proceeded to cancel our stay, only for the the employee over the phone to tell us that he would not be able to authorize a refund and we would have to speak to a manager. Frustrated and tired we decided to just call back the next day or two and try to speak to a manager, only to hear that the manager was not there everytime we called. Here we are in February and still have not resolved this issue. We just want our refund of $109 for a room that we never saw or slept in. At this point the professionalism in my opinion isn’t great, I would assume the staff alerted the manager of our situation yet no one has called us back or even emailed.
