We booked this hotel without being informed that the building is undergoing major renovations, along with the adjacent street and parking area. The entire façade is covered in scaffolding, and construction workers are constantly moving around right outside the windows.
Street work starts early in the morning with loud jackhammering, making it impossible to sleep in—we were literally woken up by the construction crew. While we understand that renovations are sometimes necessary, the hotel failed to communicate any of this in advance or provide any instructions to help navigate the situation.
The entire street is blocked, and we had to walk over 100 metres from the nearest parking area. There is no convenient access for cars or taxis, which would have been good to know before arrival.
Check-in was painfully slow, and the staff showed no friendliness or sense of urgency. That said, the rooms themselves are nice and comfortable—but overall, the experience was disappointing due to the lack of transparency and poor service.
