I’m not quite sure how this hotel is a 4 star, it’s barely a 2!
The only redeemable feature of the hotel are the staff, who are very friendly & the food in the restaurant was ok.
The hotel is very, very tired and clearly needs updating, when you walk into reception the walls & skirting boards are missing paint, the lift area is the same, all of the communal areas look grubby.
We had been driving for 8 hours so just wanted to go to sleep, we should really have left but we were so tired we decided to get our heads down and stay.
The bedroom was awful. the carpets were dirty & when I moved the sheets to get into bed there were black hairs! I took a towel from the bathroom and lay on & sprayed the room with fly spray as there were flys everywhere. The room smelled musty and the walls & skirting boards were again missing paint and marked everywhere. The bathroom window was gross, needs ripping out! There was a large gap under the sink area & plumbing is visible & toilet flush was broken on one button.
We couldn’t wait to leave.
