We are from Green Valley AZ and wanted to check out Arizona Grand for a future family reunion (16 from 4 states). Poor check in process - gave NO info on resort (where pools -Camelback pool was FREEZING- , , towels, ice machines, internet connection, how get into Oasis and what available activities. NO concierge to give ideas of what to outside. I had spent hours talking . to staff pre visit to see rooms for possible reunion and no one knew anything at our check in! Finally after arriving and next day being “routed” to EIGHT people finally we got a golf cart driver (Matt was the ONLY friendly person we encountered) who showed us some rooms.
Our room was really not nice and quite outdated and rather shabby with plain furniture and dull carpets. It was hard opening bathroom door with door bumping on toilet. There were no wine glasses available and frig was set at 45 degrees keeping husbands required meds too warm. Ouch and chairs and even bed were not comfortable - I came home with a backache.
Friendliness was VERY lacking - lifeguards were ignoring and did not give help and not friendly, I was very disappointed in staff responses to guests.
On a positive note - we did enjoy the Rustlers Roost and Matt our golf cart guide was friendly, sweet and helpful. The grounds were very well kept up and beautiful. The Camelback pool was very very cold when I went in to do some water aerobics. Do not know why it was not heated ? We still are considering the reunion
