We will be back!
You can't beat this location a block up from Union Square and several blocks from China Town. Right on the Trolley line adds to the charm of this gracious and impeccably restored historic hotel. Lots of restaurants around and felt safe. The beds were super comfortable and our room was quiet. The Starlight Bar on the top floor is amazing!

The Beacon Grand was bustling over the holiday weekend, and the hotel looked great with its recent makeover. The rooms retained their historic character, but felt modern and very comfortable as well. The staff were great, and make sure to check out the 360 views from the Starlight lounge on the 21st floor looking out over Union Square and all the vistas of SF.

Lovely Stay
Amazing stay over the Christmas holiday weekend. Staff were friendly, valet expensive $80/day, but excellent. Beacon Hotel is a mix of old world and modern feel. We had a junior suite and it was roomy, quiet, and the bedding and linens were to die for. The service was great. We had room service for a cheese plater and it was well made, delivered quickly, and at a reasonable price. Perfect location.

Annual Holiday Adventure to SF
Every Christmas we visit the city for a holiday weekend with friends and this was our 3rd year staying at the Beacon Grand. Everyone is so nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. We’re already looking forward to next year’s trip!

Will never return
We had reserved a high floor room with a view of union square but our only view was of the HVAC system on the roof. The front desk staff was incredibly not helpful nor friendly. The bartender was even worse, rude is an understatement. The best employees at this hotel were the bellhop and valet. Those guys are awesome. The rest of the staff should take notes from them.

Absolutely a wonderful stay
I went with some family members to celebrate my moms 60th birthday and we had such a great time! The cable car is just down the street so we were able to explore key san francisco spots with ease. The hotel manager and staff were extremely helpful. The hotel manager even assisted us in finding and booking us reservations at a beautiful italian restaurant for my moms birthday dinner. The upstairs and lobby bar were wonderful with live entertainment in the lobby and the most beautiful skyline view from the upstairs bar. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Great hotel really classic. Awesome location right in the city. Great help from staff re local eateries and travel and attractions. Older hotel but clean and well looked after, rooms a bit smaller if you are used to more modern hotels but no issue for our family of 3.
