Here's the translation: "First time visiting New Orleans, full of excitement. However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. Eventually left a day early and switched to another hotel.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is located close to the main tourist spots in New Orleans. The only downside was that there was a false fire alarm at ~3:00 am, due to “painting” around the elevator. The bad part of this was that the original “all clear” could not be heard and there were no staff posted at the stairs to direct folks back to their rooms.

Issues

All snacks closed…no convenience purchase store, one vending machine didn’t all purchase because it was asking for a letter and number purchase which the machine didn’t even have so we had to walk from 430 to 470 to purchase a coke, then one of the two ice machines did not work so we had to go from one end of the floor to another for ice that was not even frozen very well. The elevators were all messed up and either were not working or took forever to wait for service. The numbering system forgot the rooms do not make sense. The lobby was chilly while sitting to wait for our Uber or even just to walk through. Online implies there was a way to wash your own laundry but it’s actually a highly expensive laundry service. At least 3 times what we have paid in other areas, ver misleading. It would have been cheaper to keep my rental car another day and pay for valet service then and do my own laundry so the cost is absolutely ridiculous. The upside, the place is clean and the bed was comfortable.

Definitely staying here again

The staff was very nice. The hotel was very clean. They even had a pool party with inside the hotel. If you’re going to New Orleans, you should stay here. It’s right in the middle of all the party and so it’s not gonna be a quiet sleep, but it is so convenient and you don’t have to go anywhere to be a part of the mix.

Loud

Unfortunately this beautiful hotel is located in a loud and dirty area. Once you step outside it s filthy and stinks of urine from the unhomed people. Canal street was like a drag strip noise wise. Heard engines revving all night. The rooms are a bit too dim for my old lady eyes lol. The pool was murky (I think too much ash?) and pool area was filthy with litter.

My Go To Hotel

Love the location, room & service. The pool is a definite plus to help cool down in from the NOLA heat. So many food options nearby and live music. Love the easy access.This was 2nd visit at Hyatt Centric & will be my go to hotel in NOLA.

If you want sleep, don't book here!

Nice public areas great for socializing with other guests. Elevator panels loose, bathroom fixtures broken, minimal water pressure, dirty guest room carpet but the worst aspect of the property is the single pane windows and the excessive noise all night long. Even after the pedestrian traffic subsides, trash trucks, delivery vehicles, public works pressure washing you will not sleep! The hotel made an attempt to place a sheet of plastic over the windows to "double pane" with absolutely no benefit. Oh, and just outside the hotel the city has paved a drive through steel traffic barricade that slams and bangs all night.

Great place to stay in French Quarter!

Breakfast in morning was excellent. Servers were nice and knowledgeable. I especially liked the fact the I received complimentary drinks in lobby bar. Again service was fab. Also appreciated hotel parking. There was valet parking. NOLA is a difficult place to park. Liked the fresh omlet in morning. Lots of fancy pastries.

Best place to stay in New Orleans!

My place in New Orleans couldn’t be used. I called Hotel.com and got this lovely place at th Hyatt Centric in the French Quarter. The service was great. I was so tired from driving and this last minute mixup was a blessing. Will definitely recommend ! All the staff members from valet to manager are the best!

Great Location in the French Quarters! Hotel room was very nice. Enjoyed the space and extremely high 12 foot ceilings.The rooms were clean and updated. All of the Staff was amazing!! Couldn’t ask for a better stay. Will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the staff for a great visit!!
