The staff were very friendly and very helpful but the facilities were shocking. I didn’t mind using the shared bathroom but the shower’s hot water didn’t work (or had run out by 7am both days), the TV in my room had no signal and the blinds (in view of a main road) didn’t shut properly. The room wasn’t very clean and I didn’t bother with the Breakfast on my last day as it consisted of toast and a fried egg (which was disappointing considering how much I paid for my stay).
All in all if you’re in need of a place near the city centre that you won’t be staying in for long this place suits, but don't expect a five star hotel.. I will certainly look for other options next time I go to Manchester.
