Stayed on 9/3 for one night booked through Hotels.com. I was charged the usual security deposit which was later refunded. On the day I checked out the hotel charged me another amount which was not refunded. After nearly a month of calls to the general manager, and being told that the money would be returned, he finally revealed that I had been charged again for the room. I showed him the receipt from Hotels.com and acknowledged that I had been double charged but that he couldn't give me my money back because "That's not how business works." Well I happen to own and run a successful small business and one thing I know for sure is that you don't double charge a customer, admit to it, then refuse to refund the money, because, that's how stealing works.
