We recently stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos for a family vacation, drawn in by the amenities for both kids and adults—especially the waterslides and pools. Overall, the resort is clean, modern, and visually stunning. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the staff was generally friendly and welcoming.
That said, several issues kept this from being a return-worthy experience. The most frustrating part was the constant pressure from Legendary Vacation Club reps. They approached us pretending to assist with activities or guest services, only to push hard for a timeshare presentation. It was misleading and made it difficult to relax.
The food was another major letdown. We tried every restaurant on-site, and none met the standard we’ve come to expect from Hard Rock or other all-inclusives we’ve visited. Meals were bland, repetitive, and lacked quality.
We also received resort credit of $200 per night, which sounded nice but ended up being nearly useless—just discounts on overpriced extras, not actual value.
Lastly, the resort was not accommodating to special requests. Compared to other Hard Rock properties, the service here lacked flexibility and effort.
While the kids had a great time and we made some good memories, we likely won’t return. The setting is beautiful, but the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations.
