Staff were so rude. Right from check in, no hello or greeting of any kind. I asked to check in early if possible and she said yes. Gave me my room key, I went all the way up to find out it was a twin room instead of a king which I had booked. She should have let me know at reception that she was going to change it as I would have politely declined and waited until check in. She offered no apology, only a deadpan ‘ok’. So I told the receptionist that I wanted the room that I ordered and would come back at the check in time. I came back later, at check in time, to be met by another receptionist (Julian) who was also devoid of any customer service. Again, no hello, no greeting. Just a sour expression, he tried to check me in and said I already had checked in, the colleague from earlier walked over and they started conversing in German. After a few minutes of them staring at the computer I asked ‘is there a problem?’. No response. I then repeated ‘is there a problem?’ And the female answered ‘no’ without looking up. Then called the manager over who also didn’t acknowledge my presence, barked some orders in German and retreated back to her office. Absolutely shambolic. Would never stay here again and wouldn’t advise anyone stay here either. The staff have zero customer service training or initiative. Trying to communicate with them is like pulling teeth!
