The front desk staff was very rude and speaks like a machine. No eye contact, didn't explain fully to the customer.

Comfortable Stay
The service was excellent. It was Mardi Gras so they were a lot of folks partying until the wee hours. It’s not the hotel’s fault. Just the luck or lack their off of the booking. The walls were very thin. All and all I enjoyed the stay. Location was stellar. The food was excellent.

Marriott New Orleans. The bad. The ugly
Lovely location in New Orleans. Great view of canal street and the parades fromnour room.
Biggest complaint is the room was not as clean as one would expect from a Marriott property. Our mini fridge did not appear to have been cleaned or sanitized in quite a while as when we opened it it was full of food...and a god awful odor.....an entire ham dinner with the fixins was in it and appeared to have been a long time . All we wanted to do was store some watet bottles to keep cold. The coffee station was not filled. We contacted the front desk about the fridge and took them 2 and half hours to responde to our complaint about the fridge. See photo below for how the mini fridge was. It shocked the houskeeper manager so.much she took a photo of it.
The 2 other complaints were that the thermostat really did not work well. It was a very cold time we were there (Late Feb temps in the low 30s to low 40s) and even on the 18th floor did not keep room warm.
Also the last day of our stay we had no hot water and our reponse from the management team was lukewarm at best.
I will say on a positive note that the food at my conference was excellent and the service of this team was also very good.
The bar and other restaurants associated with the hotel were also good.
My complaint is that the room was dated. Housekeeping was not paying attention to detail with their daily cleaning and maintenance needed to pay more attention as well.
Definitely not up to typical Marriott standards.

Good stay
The room was good - comfortable bed with great view of the river. The bathroom was very small. The pool was closed for repairs. Very nice gym. Good place to stay overall.
