On the whole it was an OK stay.
The hotel corridors still feel like a Kafkaesque prison and the Sports Bar is over-lit with tables too close together (the staff were nice though).
The rooms generally are comfortable and well appointed.
However, my room had no convenient plugs. The desk thing only had European and US plugs under a broken lift-up flap, but that was irrelevant because the back of the desk wasn't plugged into anything. There was only one plug in the room, and that was in the far corner, behind the suitcase rack.
I complained to management as I wanted to work, but it was impossible to run my laptop cable that far. They said I could have had an extension cable (which they didn't provide) and when I complained on checkout, they promised to follow up, but as of yet haven't.
With so many options on the Bath Road, this level of service and provision just felt like a shot in the foot.
