Not worth the money
This hotel came recommended by a friend who visited during Covid. When I arrived I was not impressed. The pool that is advertised is not the same pool at the resort. The all-inclusive is a joke. There’s only one restaurant that serves a la carte, not buffet so you can have a variety. The portions are small and the food not too great. The birds at breakfast were overwhelming. The dining servers caters to the European first, regardless of was seated first. We witnessed that twice. Maxine was the best server. The room was just okay. It can be a little more modern. The spa was the worst I’ve ever been to. The massage was so rough and hard from the beginning. I left feeling worst than what I did in the beginning, $300 wasted. The private poolside dinner was a waste. We were served steak, mashed potatoes and veggies. The quality of the food was not 4star quality. We nippled off of it and left 75% of it. The beach you have to take a shuttle and it’s very small with a lot of seaweed. The resort is 45 minutes from everything which is very far. We left a day early to stay at another resort and decided to extend our stay there by two days to make up the time we lost at Escape. Escape declined to return our fee for the one night. The resort needs a pool makeover, a different all inclusive dining option, more activities and better spa options.
