Disgraceful dive
The room seemed to be recently painted, but they did nothing to clean it up. There was plaster all over the floor and paint marks in the bathroom. The plasterers had clearly used the shower to clean their equipment as and the bathroom had not been Cleaned.The heating didn't work neither did the electric heater. There was a stain underneath the bed sheet that they didn't bother to clean. The shower head also wasn't compatible with the holder. Noise all night from some sort of plumbing kept us awake.On top of all that, there were no signs of anyone working there throughout our stay.

Avoid
Room was freezing. No heating from radiator, small plug in electric heater provides but not PAT tested. Pillows about an inch thick, thin summer weight duvet on beds. Bathroom filthy, thick grime around the skirting, shower grim, didn't use as felt I needed flip flops. Shelf in bathroom with toiletries had black dirt covering it. 3 cups with bugs in and no teaspoons

All in all not a great stay, Had to ring for self check in codes etc whilst on way to property, nothing sent 24 hours in advance as it was supposed to be even having filled in the pre check in form. Couple of stains on mattress cover, mattress not very comfortable, something leaking in bathroom, leaving small puddle on bathroom floor no one to report it to, toilet roll holder missing, heater provided in room, I assume because the radiator did not work, heater left leaning against the wall. The room was described as A SUPERIOR DOUBLE with balcony and a sea view not sure that is an accurate description, the room was far from superior, the door out to the balcony was locked, so could not be accessed, I’m assuming it was because it was unsafe, it certainly looked that way looking at it, but yes it did have a sea view, the room was very dated and in need of some repairs and redecorating.

I have lots of photos we were not in the property more than 15 minutes it was so dirty unsafe nothing like the photos showed . Trying to get hold of head office was awful cut off 4 times the man let us in said the manager took us to the room I told him leaving want a refund he couldn’t help ! So who was he , called head office said can’t , so now I. Dispute with hotels.com . This property needs to be taken off the site the carpets are ripped the curtains have burns in the balcony false turf is all bumpy . We paid £105 gave the keys back within 10 minutes they put it on hotels agsin for the next poor customer at £68 ! Been offered £13 as good will refused as we ended up travelling to Boston to get a room then travelling back the inconvenience and stress of our last summer weekend away is worth much more , I am thinking about getting trading standards involved !

The room wasn’t dirty. The bathroom had mould everywhere and did not work. Very poor hotel would not recommend it to anybody.

The beds were comfortably. Bad points no fasterners on windows,so they didnt close to block the noise of traffic and people shouting . The property could be cleaner ,i cleaned the shower before using it as there was soap scum on the sides .cobwebs in the shower room with live spiders on .

I booked a room with balcony I got room on the 3rd floor no balcony almost 50 stairs up not good when you are 75 years old.Room needs small unit to put unpacked clothes in and table by bed.bed was very comfortable but no mattress or pillow protectors.Did not see any staff during the week I was there.would stay again but only if I got what I asked and payed for.
