Went out to stargaze at Davis Mountain Park, which was only 3 min away, and this place had decent reviews. The rooms were very clean. It’s an older facility but very well kept. Would stay again if we visit again. Keep in mind it’s a small town and everything closes early except the liquor store, 9pm, and convenience store, 10pm.

Continental breakfast is very good, though, the pankake's machine needs more temperature for a better cooking taste. The place is quite, nice and the night's sky is beautiful to admire the wonderful gift of nature!!!

I love this place. It’s located just outside the town of Ft. Davis. It is a basic, step-back-in-time place where you get friendly service, a comfortable bed, a good sized room, and quiet. I checked in late (9:00pm) and was greeted with a very friendly owner, who told me of the amenities and told me that if I needed anything to just let him know. He also told me that breakfast started at 6:30am. He was cheerful and made me feel at home. As I got to my room, there was no problem getting into it. The room was warm and I realized that to conserve energy the hotel turned the a/c off. One push of the button and 10 minutes later the room was down to a comfortable level. I was swimming at Balmorhea State Park all day, and took a shower while wait for it to cool. Normally, I require a sleeping pill to get me to sleep, but the room was so quiet and the bed was so comfortable that if I hadn’t already set my alarm, I would’ve missed my morning appointment. Checkout was a breeze. I could’ve left the key in my room, but being 6:30am, I decided to take my keys to the front. They hadn’t completely finished setting up, but I was greeted again with smiles. I did grab a very good cup of coffee to go and left. The next time I’m near, I will be staying here again.

The location is good. Sink area was clean. However, tiny roaches in bathtub, bed sheets had marks. Towels were quite worn. Trash in parking lot. On the morning of checkout, I loaded my car and went into town, but I did not checkout. When I returned, they had removed all linen and started cleaning already. I was hoping to use the room for another hour before checking out. There wasn't a Don't Disturb door hanger around. Oh well.

TV had to be managed by the front office. Evidently card readeer was not working and office personnel had to come and readjust it twice before it worked. Once we turned off TV and tried to turn it back on the next morning, we were going to have to call the front office to fix again. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Loved it and would recommend it to others and would book there again.
