Budget hotel meeting expectation
Friendly staff and close proximity to Bristol University. However, there is no lift in the hotel, which would be problematic for travellers with heavy luggages. Complementary breakfast/ fruits / beverages which were quite descent.

The shower was cold and the staff did nothing to help? Room was cold and In a three days stay there was no cleaning og change og towels.. Breakfast was okay, but anyway maybe the worse hotel-experiance I have had In almost 50 years.

Just a old hotel. Serice is not good at all, took my card details for any damage in room, it never happened before, small box room with single bed and took £58 and that too is in bad condition. And the worse thing is said parking available when booking but when i arrived i have to park in the street. You have to book for the breakfast timing first. So bad experience, I wont recommend this to anyone

Not super clean but comfortable w/ yummy breakfast
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, but the room was not vacuumed and the smell of mould was really strong. The great breakfast saved it all because of the friendly staff, the presentation of the breakfast food and the overall quality.

A good stay
Nice room, excellent value for money, clean, modern, good size, tea/coffee/biscuits/fruit in room. Was a little cold that day and raidiator in room wasnt working but wasn't too cold to necessitate me asking reception. Breakfast was amazing. Generally a very good stay.

Limited breakfast, room and toilet floor was crooked, toilet was not mounted correctly so with would wobble with any movement. Location was good for getting around town. reception was nice and helpful. Rest of the hotel was passable.

Staff lovely, room not so much.
Staff were lovely and welcoming, however... * TV Remote was missing and the TV barely worked due to cable damage which was there when we arrived. * Big scratch on the TV screen also which was there before we first entered the room. * Puddle of damp water (we think and hope) just outside of the bathroom door which we were unsuccessful in mopping up or drying for the duration of our stay. * Breakfast was quite poorly organised, seemed to be a lot of chaos and confusion as people turned up before their slots and the food overall was average and served lukewarm. * Door lock was confusing and stiff - had to really give it force to both lock and unlock upon entry and exit to the room. * Bathroom door didn't shut properly, again, very stiff and wouldn't lock effectively.

Great staff, poor facilities
All the staff were friendly, polite and service minded. The hotel facilities are old and worn, particularly the bathroom was in immediate need of an upgrade. 15 minutes walk to city center. You need to book a twenty minutes breakfast slot within the breakfast opening hours due to tiny seating room.
