Dripping pipes kept us up
You get what you pay for... good deal but the room was noisy. Youcould hear everything nearby... fellow guests, road traffic, weather, etc. We had a loudly leaking pipe we could hear in the ceiling, too. The tub was old and looked dirty but I think iy was stained. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and helpful.

Nice and clean hotel
We stayed here for 1 night and loved our stay. Conveniently located, close to public transportation and with free parking. Rooms are renovated and clean. There is no lift, but its only 3 floors. Overall enjoyed the stay

A great spot in a cool location
A surprisingly lovely place to stay near a really cool part of town. There are some awesome restaurants / cafes one street over and it's super convenient to some awesome tourist spots. Nice, modern room amenities.

There are many relatively inexpensive hotels on the stretch of Lombard Street between the Palace of Fine Arts and Van Ness, and we have tried maybe a dozen over the years. The location is great for the Marina, Cow Hollow, Golden Gate Bridge, and the Presidio. Good things about the Signature Inn: staff was friendly and efficient. Fixtures in the room were relatively new and worked well--TV, shower, etc. were very good. It was generally clean. Mattress was excellent. Other things: the room was not carpeted, but had vinyl plank flooring. Small holes in the wall had been spackled but not touched up. The bathroom had a loose "barn door" that didn't provide much privacy. The hotel advertises free parking, but the internal lot is too small to accommodate all guests, and from the time we checked in to the next morning, there were no available spaces, so be sure to scout the neighborhood for street parking. The ice machine was out of order; a sign said "Sorry for the inconvenience." We had room 101, which was on the ground floor facing the parking; because there were no blackout curtains, only a set of shutters, it was impossible to make the room truly dark. Towels were clean but a little scratchy--which I don't mind--but mine had a hole in it, which was a step too far toward shabbiness. Given the many similar choices in the neighborhood, I balance the small problems against price. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay.

My party of 4 had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor (no elevator), both were clean. We were guests during a peak convention time so all the facilities were booked and VERY overpriced. I confirmed ahead of time via phone call to the motel that we would be able to store our baggage after checking out as we were going on a boat tour prior to departing to the airport andvwould not be able to bring our baggage. Upon check-out, the manager said the storage was full and we couldn't leave our bags. After a stressful 20 minute discussion to find a resolution, we were finally able to store our bags in the laundry room. When we retrieved our bags, the manager kindly offered water for our trip to the airport. My recommendation is to ask for a confirmation email if you have any special requests/requirements.

The building is painted nicely, so it looks good in the picture. And it is in a great location. But the hotel needed work. Most of the electrical outlets did not work. The lights in the room were super bright with no dimming or adjusting possible. The bedding was minimal--the thinnest possible "comforter." I asked for a blanket and they said they didn't have blankets. They also didn't have a water bottle fill station. They charge for "amenities" but there are no amenities. The office is creepy. There is so much they could improve! This was very, very basic.

Great location. Unfortunately the room smelled strongly of mildew. Barn style bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. Check-in was curt and borderline unfriendly. Roof top deck was nice.

This property was okay but they did not have any elevators and unfortunately we had to stay on the third floor. Also the stairs are quite steep and small so it was a little unsafe. The rooms were okay however the beds were not comfortable to sleep in. Also the bathroom door was stuck and noisy so it was inconvenient to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The room is also don't have good curtain situations because a lot of lights still enters in in the middle of the night. Also we booked the stay in advance but did not arrive until midnight and it took a while for the attendant to check us in. There's also a sign that indicates they're not responsible for theft from your vehicle. There has been a lot of vehicle theft in San Francisco and I thought this was kind of unsafe considering that you're parking in your hotel. I think the only value to this hotel for the price is the fact that it's walking distance from the palace of fine arts. I would not stay here again though.

Fue la mejor elección que hicimos en San Francisco, pedimos habitación doble y nos tocó hasta la tercer planta, desafortunadamente no tiene elevador y tocó cargar maletas hasta arriba. El estacionamiento es muy seguro pero algo sucio, requiere mayor limpieza. La habitación estaba impecable, todo funcionó bien y muy limpio, parece ser una habitación de un hotel superior. El personal de limpieza nos apoyó con más papel higiénico y llevándose la basura, ya que no hacen el aseo diariamente, la vimos y se lo pedimos, muy amablemente nos apoyó. La zona parece lejana, pero en la calle de atrás, hay lugares increíbles para comer y pasear, caminando está la zona de la marina, la cual es tipo residencial y lujosa. Apetece quedarse ahí nuevamente.
