Booked two rooms and sent a direct message to the hotel to please make sure they were connecting rooms. Arrived at the hotel, and they didn't get the request and had no connecting rooms available, so we had to split the family in opposite wings of the hotel. We were told to check the next morning about the availability of connecting rooms. We were told that there were two rooms available and they would be ours when we got back from our trip to the parks.
When we returned, we were told those rooms had never been cleaned and were not available and given other adjacent, but not connecting rooms, one of which had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke, so had to go back to the front desk and request different rooms, which we finally got the connecting rooms we wanted. The staff was great at trying to resolve the situation, but overall, the first couple of nights were not a great experience.
My wife and I used to stay at this hotel regularly when my son was little and hadn't gone back in a while. The rooms are pretty dated and worn. The standing lamp in one room didn't work and the drawers in another room wouldn't close and one facet was dripping continuously.
Overall, this hotel has a great location but is badly in need of repairs and updates.
