We stayed for 2 weeks using it as a base to visit museums in Heraklion and for visiting the south and east of the island. The hotel is in the centre of the city, ideal for sightseeing and restaurants, but in a very built up area. Parking is at a premium in this area, with cars parked absolutely everywhere around the hotel. The hotel has a great arrangement with a valet parking lot, literally across the street from them which worked perfectly for us. We stayed in a Business Room, Courtyard View which was very compact with just enough storage and the view from a tiny balcony was of another buildings wall a few metres away. If you would like somewhere to sit outside, then this room is not suitable and did detract from our otherwise lovely stay in this hotel. If staying for a couple of nights it would be appropriate, but if we were staying as long again, we would pay extra and take a larger room with a balcony at the front of the building. The staff were amazing, so kind, friendly and helpful making us feel "at home" during our stay. They worked such long hours, but nothing was too much trouble. On the last night as we had stayed so long, they provided a lovely surprise gift which was so kind of them. Breakfast was more than adequate with continual restocking of the buffet. There is also a small bar just off the reception area. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and would use it again.

I like everything about the hotel, breakfast was plenty and diverse, place is quiet and tranquil. Their staff is attentive and helpful. Everything is short distance.

Ottima posizione: in pieno centro. Sia la Fortezza Veneziana che il Museo Archeologico si trovano a 10 minuti di passeggiata. Supermercato a 50 metri. Comodissimo parcheggio convenzionato nell'edificio di fronte a 8€ al giorno. L'hotel è piccolino, curato e pulito. Il personale è molto gentile. La colazione è conforme allo standard di un hotel a 4 stelle, abbastanza varia tra salato e dolce e offre prodotti di buona qualità. L'unico punto negativo: dato che la struttura si trova tra le viuzze strette del centro, i palazzi di fronte sono molto vicini, per cui non si possono mai aprire le tende oscuranti. Anche dalla strada è facile vedere dentro le camere, quindi le bellissime e molto ampie vetrate rimangono inutilizzabili, ma del resto non è un punto panoramico...

The Dom hotel was amazing! We had a car, so the parkade across the street was perfect for us. We left the keys there and the staff of the parkade brought the car up every day. Getting to the room was beautiful, we were so welcomed coming in and they had a lemon juice ready for us to sit and enjoy before going up. We sat and talked to the receptionist for a bit while cooling down with our lemon drinks. They left us special snacks in the room as well to enjoy which was so lovely. Our suite had an amazing rooftop patio to watch the sunrise and sunset above most of the buildings and a panoramic view while we sat in the hot tub. There was a nice cover over the deck to stay out of the sun as well. Overall the staff were amazing and the place was very lovely. We would stay again
