The TV was broken looked like someone put their hand through it. The room was decent however and the staff very nice. Not bad for a budget and even has a place to eat next door.

Good for the price

Over all is good for what we needed the space which was sleep, even tho the property looks bad from the outside, the room are actually modern looking, unfortunately we seen baby roaches, and a few things that were not clean. But I do recommend for a night or two. Reception told us check out was at 9am not 11 like the add says that was unexpected.

Door doesn’t work for 201

We stayed in room 201 on the top floor, reserved a couple hours ahead of time. The room was average and staff were reasonably helpful and friendly. However, after arriving back to the hotel from being out our key did not work. Brought it down to the ‘office’ about 3 times before they came up to troubleshoot. Needless to say we spent about 20-25 minutes locked out of our room at midnight while the staff were able to reprogram the door. There was no restroom we could use in the meantime, so the staff asked nearby random (drunk) guests to let us inside for their bathroom…. not the best solution but thankful we got inside nonetheless. You get what you pay for, be mindful of 201 above the office.

The vibe, the room, the people, the bugs, the smell, the scratched doors and no real deadbolts aside from the ones built into the handle letting anyone with the right tools to easily open the room without the key or having to undo the deadbolts. 1/5 It felt so unsafe id rather go to a motel 6 on route 66 in the desert than actually stay a whole night here.

I just stayed here 7/2/2-26 to 7/5/26. For context, this was the weekend of July 4th (America's 250th anniversary), the World Cup, and Anime Expo + Hololive concerts. This meant that hotels near the Los Angeles Convention Center and Shrine Auditorium were very expensive. It was on average about $300-350 a night if you wanted hotels near those locations during this time frame. Enter Bronco Motel South Central. I stayed here for $115 a night. You know the saying, you get what you pay for? Well here, you really do. 1st night = no working hot water in the shower. I had to ask the morning after for the employee to check on it. He told me the owner was out of town and then didn't really offer a solution. I told him that isn't acceptable and it needs to be fixed because you can't have no working hot water, let alone for 2 days in a row. He eventually relented but the fact I had to even push for it and he saw nothing wrong with that was annoying. I'm not expecting the cleanest room ever for this price but good lord. If you're not the type to stomach seeing some holes in the blanket and sheets amongst other things, stay away. I did inspect the entire room (bed, bathroom, corners, etc.) for bed bugs with my phone flash light. Luckily, there were none at least. But regardless, the room isn't exactly the cleanest thing around. The location is also actually awful. People drive along the road next to it literally all night. I regret staying here.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. I don’t expect luxury from a budget motel. I can overlook worn carpet or a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. I do expect a clean bed and a room that’s safe to sleep in. This place failed at both. My husband and I’s bed came with one flat pillow. I asked REPEATEDLY for more and got excuses, but never another pillow. The sheets had cigarette burns, old makeup stains, what I sincerely hope wasn’t blood stains. There was rotting food in the fridge, the one mirror was all scratched up with graffiti, and had ripped off the wall, and the filthy shower definitely had someone else’s pubic hair all over it. The fire alarm had been torn out of the ceiling, the buttons from the TV, and the remote looked like it was used as a chew toy. People blasted music from a car in the parking lot all the night, and the toilet was leaking, so was re-filling constantly. Also they wouldn’t give me a key card without leaving a 20$ cash deposit and refused to give me a receipt? Obviously you have to expect certain things from a motel in South Central and I set my expectations accordingly, I definitely didn’t book the cheapest place I could find, but for 130$, clean sheets, a functioning fire alarm, and a response to a simple request for pillows should be the bare minimum. Stay anywhere but here.

Rude

Guy running the front desk hides behind a fully tinted window, you have no idea who you're talking to. Tried keeping my ID and credit card upon checkin. The room had flies and smelled like a dead hookers buttonhole. At check out, we encountered more faceless, rude customer service. The housekeeper was nice though.

Bronco Motel in South Central LA

The room was clean and neat. Shower was nice, water pressure was superb. No bugs of any kind, at least we didnt see any. Staff was super friendly, very accomodating. We arrived a few hours early and were able to check in, no problem. Parking is inside so your vehicle is somewhat safe and at view. We booked a Non-Smoking room through Hotels.com, but Hotels.com placed us in a Smoking room on the itinerary. It smelled of nicotine, but a few sprays of perfume and running the air conditioner on helped. My low rating is due to Hotels.com Smoking booking and the area outside the hotel, not very safe.:(

Ok, but not the best neighborhood

Just 1 night and booked very late. This was the cheapest we found and it wasn't luxurious but ok for a night. The neighborhood was a bit shabby, but we didn't feel unsafe when we walked to the nearest mall and found a restaurant!
