Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at hotel Don Nino. Service was excellent. Room (comfort studio) was large and clean. Hot water worked well. We did not use the kitchen facilities so cannot comment but seemed well stocked. Location was excellent - very busy park across the street and right on the corner of the centro area of Oaxaca. Felt very safe. Only negative was that the room did not have a safe.

Really friendly and helpful receptionists. Allowed us to check in early, were patient when we couldn't figure out how to use the safe and made a real effort to help us find the place we wanted to eat. They provide free drinking water from a garafon. The location is nice and it is close to the bus station for Mexico City and Tuxtla. The main down side is that none of the windows look out onto the street.

Los días que estuvimos en Oaxaca pasamos demasiado calor y no tienen aire acondicionado los cuartos, la primera noche no pudimos dormir, comentamos esto en la recepción y amablemente nos proporcionaron un segundo ventilador. Problema resuelto :) Limpio, conveniente y barato.
