Unique with a capital U
There’s “unique,” and then there’s Gold-Diggers, a five star boutique hotel above a sound studio and small venue night club. Music is the theme! Vinyl turntable in room. vinyl house gift too, along with drink tokens and access to whatever show is happening downstairs. Incredibly helpful staff, but be prepared, the staff is also working the sound studio and everyone goes home at 6pm. After that you’re on your own, more like a high end hip guest house than a hotel.
The room was SO comfortable. Gigantic bed, excellent amenities.
Only downside is parking/loading in:loading out. There’s no parking at facility, not even for a temporary “get all your bags out of your car and into lobby at check in.” As a result, you will be walking two blocks with all your stuff through a not great neighborhood. Part of the charm, for sure, but definitely wouldn’t want to do it alone late at night.
Would definitely stay here again but maybe with a friend and in an Uber.
