One of the best hotel stays of my life

First time on Guernsey, travelled with friends who lived there many years ago for the 80th Liberation Day celebrations. Our stay at the St Pierre Park was one of many highlights. The hotel building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly, attentive without being overbearing, helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night having the 3 course a la carte menu, the food was fresh, full of flavour and presented beautifully. Breakfast offered a buffet of fresh fruit yogurt cereals and pastries and hot food with a seperate extensive menu from which I enjoyed Avacado and poached eggs on sourdough, smoked fish and cheese charcuterie and smoked salmon and poached eggs on toast. The best breakfast of any hotel I have stayed in. The rooms were well appointed with balcony, excellent tea and coffee facilities, iron, ironing board, robes, fridge and safe. Unfortunately we did not have time to sample the spa and gym services but will definitely find time for this on our next trip. The staff made our stay extra special with everyone we met being friendly, helpful and efficient with attention to detail, remembering little things that made you feel special. All of the staff were amazing and I could not fault anyone however we were served mainly over our stay by Abdul and Patricia within the bar and restaurant who provided an excellent service and made our stay thst little bit more special. If you are heading to Guernsey head for here

Fantastic hotel

We had a fabulous 4 days at the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional, and food generally was a good standard. Every member of staff went out of their way to make the stay so enjoyable. Room with views over the lake was excellent. Two big events were put on over the weekend, but no excessive noise. Out only slight disappointment was the spa facilities were fully booked,.which the ladies in our party were looking forward to using.

Having previously stayed at the hotel many years previously, we decided to book for a post-Christmas break and to attend the new year celebration. Our room was well looked-after by housekeeping with bed-making and turn-down provided. The pool was lovely and the gym well-equipped. The New Year's Eve event was very enjoyable with delicious meal and good local band. Breakfast was a delight with help yourself continental and full english on offer. Alternatively, one could order from the kitchen. Food at the Terrace bar was lovely too. Unfortunately the weather was not kind enough to really appreciate the grounds and outdoor hot tub. The staff could not be faulted. Our stay ticked all our boxes. Hopefully it will tick yours.

Firstly, all the positives but, unfortunately ending with a negative. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and efficient receptionist. Booking in was very easy and I was given a map of the island and a booklet of things to see and do. My room is very clean and spacious with a queen size bed, furniture, sufficient storage, lovely bathroom with bath/shower and complimentary bathroom items. Kettle, tea, coffee milk etc are also in the room. Balcony with 2 chairs and a table. LG tv with remote. Everyone is helpful, friendly, efficient and courteous, from the restaurant staff, bar staff and housekeeping. Many thanks to Patricia at breakfast time. Very friendly and efficient, a cut above the rest. Choice of food is extensive for breakfast and dinner. There is a buffet and/or table service with menu at breakfast. Well equipped bar with bar meals which are excellent. However, I do have a negative. I have a balcony with 4 chairs and a table. There is also a 9 hole golf course close to the hotel with driving range and putting green. The downside is that I am not allowed to have a cigarette on the balcony. If I do, I will be subject to a £100 fine. I feel that this is a violation of my human rights and that the hotel is prejudiced against smokers. Throughout my travels around the world, with my late wife and now just myself, we/I always had/have a room with a balcony. On that balcony there were 2 chairs, a table and an ashtray. When I had a cigarette, I ensured that the doors were cl

Pleasant stay in lovely setting

This is a lovely hotel to stay in. The rooms are spacious and quiet with nice views across the grounds, everything is clean and well maintained. We made use of the pool and outdoor hot tub which was nice to do on a sunny day. We had lunch on arrival while we waited for our room to become ready and it was tasty and of good quality. Could have happily spent more time in the hotel itself but we were busy exploring. It is a bit of a long walk down to the main town but we walked down most days and taxi'd back up.
