Surprisingly peaceful
We don't travel often, so operating some of the hotel features (e.g. climate control unit, large screen television) was challenging for us. We appreciated the staff's patience in guiding us through to comfort. It was a surprisingly peaceful stay in a busy urban area.

Lipstick on a Pig
The name of this hotel is called revival because you can definitely tell that they are trying to revive an old hotel. If you could put lipstick on a pig, that is exactly what they are doing here. The term continental breakfast is a loose term because they have hard boiled eggs, donuts, two cereals and bagels. I wouldn’t really call it a continental breakfast more than like a few things in the lobby. In the room, where the shower connects to the wall, you could tell that they used cardboard and then try to paint over it, but the water had leaked around it causing the latex paint to sag. Everything is super cheap and super plastic. The only benefit of this was the water pressure. I don’t know what the water pressure is hooked up to, but it’s like a fire hydrant coming out of the wall into the shower, which feels absolutely amazing. I never realized that Scottsdale was so expensive because I paid 160 a night for this place and in other parts of the country this would be a $75 hotel.

It was a good stay, until realizing that while taking a shower it was leaking onto the floor. It must be a consistent thing because there was already water damage to the wall.

Front desk from hell!!!!
They were under construction and not stated that they were under construction. Their breakfast was continental they said it was full breakfast. The lady in the front desk Kyla was rude. The lady I believe her name is Jenni was really nice and made up for it. I just never understood if you hate your job. Why do you stay everybody at the hotel was talking about how rude she was Kyla. The rooms did didn’t have curtains, so it was bright when you were sleeping and see people walking by. There was no toilet paper when we got there. and the shower did not close. They had no door so the water goes everywhere. For the price I don’t know. I think we should upgrade.to another hotel.

Extremely basic
If you don't mind a super basic place, this is for you. Front desk staff was rude. The breakfast was terrible. The room was very small and walls were stained.

Glorified Motel 6
This is a decidedly budget option in the Paradise Valley area. While the rooms are clean and the facilities are ok, you might find similar options for a bit less (think Motel 6). I found the bedding iffy like it wasn't properly cleaned from previous use. The room was clean otherwise albeit a bit 'cozy' and the towels and toiletries were bargain basement (had the old Best Western tags :)). There was some construction so parking entrance was a bit congested. There's a strip mall next door with a Starbucks, Pot Belly's and a pub so it's convenient. There also is some regional airport nearby so you can hear the low flying aircraft at times as well as get some highway noise depending on your room. Overall, it's an acceptable option for a short stay - just tone your expectations down.

Run away!! Worst hotel I have ever been to!!
Absolutely terrible experience. At first glance it wasn’t bad. Then we figured out that the door lock didn’t work so we couldn’t lock the door at night. The shower dripped all night long. The worst part of everything was that it bed frame was broken. When we laid down on the bed the center of the bed sank down to the floor. We had to sleep in a taco. Needless to say we ended up sleeping on the floor. When we tried to let them know the issues we were experiencing they said they couldn’t do anything about it and we were free to leave for a possible refund. And when we asked to speak to a manager they don’t have any on site. No manager, assistant manager or anyone in charge who can help in any way. Bad management, customer service. Will never go back and don’t recommend anyone stay. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. If I could give negative stars I would.

Clean and comfortable
Very clean. Smelled wonderful. The hotel was under construction and had some minor cosmetic issues. But overall it was comfortable and in a great location; especially for those visiting the Mayo Clinic.
