If you want to see a show while you're in town, try and grab some tickets at Roman Theatre in Merida Old Town. If you enjoy the show and want to see another, Amphitheatre of Merida is just a short walk away.
"It was clean, cool and calm and what looked to be a recently updated decor, which was beautiful. The bathroom was very well equipped with toiletries. "
"A great choice for exploring Merida. It’s not quite the 5 star hotel it’s listed as on some sites, but it is still excellent. Nice big rooms with character and good bathrooms. The pool is lovely (it’s also green: perfectly safe and lots of people were in it, but it was green). The bar isn’t a bar - it’s a cafe and it’s not open that late (for Spain) but that doesn’t really matter a the square out front has loads of bars. Stored my luggage on check out fine. Online check in didn’t work but front desk were good/quick. 15 minutes walk from bus station, 10 from train station, easy walk to the Roman theatre and other sites."
"I felt taken advantage of at this property. When we checked in they informed me that Expedia had under charged me as a single and I was traveling with my daughter. So they had to add extra fees for her and for parking. Even after I showed them the reservation confirmation clearly showing 2 people on it, they insisted I pay extra fees.
But the location was convenient. "
"A lovely cool Parador with very helpful staff. The historic features of this hotel in the centre of a most fascinating town made it a delightful stay."
