First off, the staff are super friendly, helpful, and responsive. The manager lives onsite and gives his number for emergencies. They held our bags for several hours AND had our room available early. They have a pool and a very nice bartender who makes drinks onsite in the afternoons (they are GOOD & STRONG). They have a beautiful rooftop deck with nearly a 360 degree view of the Caribbean. They are located near the craft market, multiple bars/restaurants, and grocery stores. Every room appears to have a balcony or patio. We loved sitting on our ground floor patio and people watching while sipping cocktails or coffee. You can even buy rum in a fresh coconut right off your patio from the nice coconut vendor who sells right near by. Most of the rooms appear from the outside to be nice and have views. Now for the few downsides which didn’t bother us, but for expectation setting. The ground level rooms are humble and they are prone to bugs. We had a scary looking spider in ours, others have complained of roaches though we never saw any. The rooms are dark and you can’t have your curtains open unless you want people from the street looking in. There’s was no hot water for showers; true at every place we’ve stayed in Belize - shower at off times of the day. It’s well insulated and relatively quiet, but front street is busy. Everything quiet’s down around 9pm. The pool is quite cold, but perfect for hot daytime temps.
