This listing is inaccurate because Star House does not have an elevator or 24-hour airport shuttle and it did not offer assistance with tour plans. The property does have a porter to carry luggage up/down the three flights of stairs in lieu of an elevator, but that service was problematic because my luggage was left unsecured inside the front door of the building until the porter could arrive to take it up to my room and because the porter was late in bringing my luggage back down the stairs for my departure (luckily, I had allowed extra time because this property had already been so problematic). The “24-hour airport shuttle” was not available for my 10:50pm arrival or my 1:00pm departure. Staff did arrange for a chartered car when I arrived that cost about US$20. When I complained that the shuttle wasn’t available for either day, I was informed that I should have reserved the shuttle one month in advance. I had also made an advance request for assistance in obtaining a ride at 5:00am to my tour group’s meeting spot, but staff instructed me to walk to the 7-Eleven because the shop would call a taxi for me for free (I booked an Uber instead). On a different note, the bedding is typical of lodging throughout Asia; the beds are very hard and feel like the floor. Also, you'll need WhatsApp on your phone to communicate with staff, so install it beforehand. Although staff members were very kind and polite, Star House is not a good option for travelers from the United States.
