Room was small, but clean. Most surprising was that for a standard room, there were windows that opened to a wall, only 2 feet away!!! With a window looking down to our room, so we had to keep the shutters closed. Quite stifling. We didn't expect a water view, but it just felt like a closet.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and we got this huge loft style apartment room which was super cool! They had left us some treats which was very nice :) The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the swimming access point which is amazing. They charge 5 euros per beach towel if you want to rent it, and have a mini fridge stacked (with extra charges) of drinks. The service was amazing! One feedback is the breakfast was repetitive, it would be cool to see some more options for hot foods (for example: sausages, omelettes, etc. Overall it was a great stay and the hotel is like an amazing maze its huge and exciting to explore!!

We loved this hotel. It was in a great position for the public solarium and for a variety of restaurants and cafes. The service was very good from the reception to the cleaning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a sun lounger plus there was a great sun roof terrace with very comfortable seating . There is a lift to the top floors which not all hotels have in Sicily. The breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of foods.

A nice stay in a good location

This 'apartment' was located in an ideal area - within a 8-10 minute walk from the city center. No frills (which is totally ok with me) -- located on a pedestrian street so definitely no parking at hotel, however, parking garage located within a couple of blocks and $25 euro/day so they were able to accommodate us. Staff was helpful (recommended one of our favorite restaurants on this vacation!) and was clean!

Absolutely magical

Beautiful setting—perfect combination of preserving original architecture and providing modern comforts like strong AC and modern bathroom. Loved my stay in the sea view room. Was a great size, had everything I needed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Perfect balance of being able to rest but also right in the mix. Quiet at night. Will return.

Vi hade fyra fantastiska nätter på Lanterna Magiche. Läget är superbra, nära till badplatserna, stadskärnan och bra restauranger. Personalen är väldigt hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med aktivitetsbokningar och taxi och vi hade ett helt otroligt rum. Det finns många terrasser och balkonger som går bra att använda och AC:n på rummet var otroligt skön när dagarna blev ordentligt varma. Jag skulle rekommendera alla ett besök och åker gärna tillbaka själv.

Underbar vistelse

Otroligt mysigt hotell! Genuint och rustikt men ändå modernt. Fräsch, stora fina rum där allt man behöver fanns. Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Underbar takterrass. Frukosten var okej, supergott kaffe!

Absolutely loved this property! Called ahead and secured valet parking…worth it! Clean and spacious rooms, kind staff and walkable to everywhere in Ortigia. Great breakfast included as well. Highly recommend!
