Hotel was great albeit was a little surprised they had no toilets around reception. The location was questionable as the shopping centre is effectively shut and the only operating business is the hotel itself. The staff were helpful. They always checked we were ok. They gave us a fruit bowl. That was lovely. Location of property excellent- restaurants, shops etc walking distance to many things. Only down side - located in a shopping centre that is closed and deserted. The external ambience is not appealing.

Outside the property is run down with lots of graffiti. The room was large and the bathroom was really nice but bedroom carpet was old shag. The front and lobby was closed and had to use the service elevator through the back grimy part of hotel. For the premium price it was not worth it.

Only value of this property was the location - close to the Old Town. Promoted as luxury - absolutely not. We couldn't find the entrance - front door was a construction zone for the mall which had no instructions for the hotel. Entrance was in a graffiti filled alley behind the mall - no front reception or area to drop off luggage. Reception was on the 5th floor - lucky if you can find it. Parking at $30 Euros per night was 15 minutes away. Windows in our room were very small by the ceiling so view was zero. Not work the cost.

A wonderful stay at Prima Luce. You are steps away from the old town and all it had to offer, as well as a close bus ride or 30 min walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room average. Old building. Lacking signage. Entrance difficult to navigate. Lift malfunctioning and stairwell inaccessible. Smashed glass front door. Some machinery/aircon or generator made loud continuous noise from 11.00 pm until 5.00 am. outside my room. Windows inaccessible, were high up on wall and partially opened enabling sound unrestricted. Unable to complain until morning when leaving having slept very little. One clerk pleaded ignorance and prevented her colleague from speaking further when she commented "I know what that is". Paid by cash on arrival , receipt not forthcoming and had to ask before leaving for a tax invoice receipt. Really does not live up to its image online. Would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent hotel 50m from Split Old Town

Unique hotel (top floor of a disused shopping centre), in a fantastic location just 50m from Split’s Old Town. Staff were professional and friendly, room was excellent - large with very comfortable bed and big bathroom. A great place to stay for a few days when exploring Split.

Excellent location in the city. Large room with a comfortable bed at a good price. The hotel is inside an abandoned mall, but that was fine for me and my wife. However, there was an extremely bad smell in the bathroom, likely due to old plumbing, which made it difficult to sleep at night. I would have rated it 4 out of 5 if not for the smell. As it stands, I can only give it a 2.

Lovely hotel - highly recommend

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Very fresh and really lovely receptionist. Great location and fantastic price. Highly recommend. The only downside is that the breakfast room is very small (around 6 tables in total) and there is not much selection (mainly cold foods), however as the hotel is so close to restaurants it’s not too much of an issue. If they improved the breakfast this hotel would be perfect.
