Outdated and not very clean. It seems to me that this used to be condos then turned to hotel. The bed covers smelled old and the bathroom had mold. The best thing about this place is the pool and that's it.

Los colchones tienen hongos, la ropa de cama y los sillones tienen hongos. No tiene acceso a la playa. Las llaves de los lavabos y la ducha tienen fuga, la caja fuerte se quedó cerrada y no podían abrirla. La comida all inclusive y las bebidas son malas.

Et udemærket Hotel, men efterhånden noget slidt.. personale er ikke indlevende og viser ikke særlig interesse i at hjælpe og guide, de kunne sagtens give en bedre helhedsindtryk ved at "være mere tilstede" dog fik vi altid en super fin betjening ved forgenmaden! Det er synd at alle hoteller og komplekse i området er så indelukket og man ikke kan gå frit rundt.. strand er meget sten og klipper..

My wife and I booked this resort for our 10 year anniversary. We were concerned with the reviews, as they are mixed. Shortly after arriving we found that most bad reviews were unwarranted. This resort is for a specific demographic. For couples who want a very quiet, personal and romantic holiday it’s exceptional service. We stayed for 7 days and were not bored at anytime. While there is not a big night life, the Blend restaurant is still a great time until 11pm every night. The staff will play any music requests and dancing is always welcomed. The drinks are always done just right! The al la carte menu is amazing with some very talented chefs! Please do not let the bad reviews discourage you from booking and experiencing this gem! The resort does need some maintenance, the beach access to the southwest (Iberostar) is rocky. However, at low tide it is easy to navigate. If this is not acceptable, NO PROBLEM! The beach access to the northeast has no issues and the beach is very swimmer friendly! Communication was never a problem, even with our poor Spanish. We hope nothing but the best for this resort and the staff that make it so amazing!! BOOK WITH THEM!!!

Finally back from our trip and have had some time to reflect. I wanted to give an honest, detailed review, because I know the previous reviews had an influence on my decision. Overall, we had an amazing time at Senses. What you are getting is an intimate, relaxing vacation when you stay here. It's adults only, and not heavy on activities. For the price, it's not much to upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The rooms are massive. The patios have a great view, and super private. We were never worried about anyone being able to see us in our room or on the balcony. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay on the first floor, everyone at the pool can see into your room, which would really defeat the purpose of having an ocean view. Our room was great. We made friends with other couples who had a much worse time. One couple didn't have hot water the entire trip. Another had to change rooms because their bed was broken. If that had happened to us, I'd be writing a much different review, and it definitely explained some of the other reviews I read when booking this. You're going to get to know the staff, and they are all amazing and go above and beyond. I enjoyed every meal I had there. But the availability of food was a bit of an issue. There are no late night options, so if you don't get back till 10:30 pm, you're out of luck. They tended to be out of a lot of things at the pool bar, which was annoying. Portions can be small, but you can always order more. Overall though, great stay.

The pictures of the rooms looked really nice. It seems since the original building of this hotel they haven't put much money into maintaining it so the place was starting to fall apart. The jacuzzis on the balconies were all broken. The jacuzzi in our room would leak such that it wouldn't fill. Tiles were falling off in the pool. The only activities they had beside the pool was a pool table and crappy dart board. They never had what was on the menu for lunch. Rooms weren't all that clean and sometimes didnt have towels. That said it was still overall a beautiful location and dinner staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Vinimos con mucho miedo por otros reviews que han dejado los clientes, pero fuimos agradablemente sorprendidos. El personal de la recepción fue muy amable y nos dieron una linda bienvenida, nos explicaron como funcionaba todo, nos tranquilizaron mucho y siempre fueron muy atentos. El hotel es pequeño con 38 habitaciones, necesita algunas remodelaciones, pero las habitaciones son muy amplias, lindas y cómodas, con una bella vista al mar. En la terraza tienen una pequeña piscina que puedes disfrutar. Las habitaciones tienen todo lo que puedas necesitar, y si no lo tienen, pregunte en recepción, los muchachos harán todo lo posible por conseguirselo. Es un lugar para venir a descansar y relajarse. Traiga un libro, música para escuchar y una buena compañía. El hotel es Ocean View, no tiene playa, pero hacia la izquierda tiene salida con fácil acceso a una playa semiprivada muy tranquila y bonita. Además el hotel cuenta con una pequeña sala de juegos, con una mesa de billar y tiro al blanco. En cuanto a la comida, es siempre a la Carta, tienen un restaurant en el 3er Piso y una cafetería al lado de la piscina, ambos con buenas y variadas opciones. El hotel se encuentra al lado de Vidanta, muy cerca del Circo del Sol, que si no lo ha visitado, es un buen momento para ver este magnífico espectáculo, y a 20 minutos en auto de Playa del Carmen. Tenga en cuenta que un taxi hasta Playa puede costarle unos 25 usd. Todo el staff fue muy amable. Nos encantó.

The people were very friendly and accommodating. Most of the food was fantastic, one of my breakfasts was a bit over cooked. The dinners were very good. We got a different themed menu every night. The dessert was always fantastic, we had cheescake, chocolate lava cake, apple crapes. Very upper scale food. If you are looking for buffet style this is not your place. The little pool side bar you could get hotdogs, burgers, frys and most alcoholic beverages you would want. Pool was very refreshing but some of the tiles were falling off but is right in front of the ocean so that was nice. If you wanted to go shopping you need to take a taxi about 20min and most of the drivers would set up a time to pick you up and bring you home when you were done. We were there for New Years Eve and they hosted a fancy dinner with a live saxophone player. He was really good. At midnight we got to watch fireworksfrom two other resorts that were close by.
