The check in staff knew nothing about online booking platforms, nothing about hotel.com or trivago etc. And so I was denied access and turned away.
I was only saved by my adamant insistence that they call their next superior as the manager of the day walked away from me saying she knew nothing of what I was saying.
The person on the other end of the phone eventually instructed them to check me in.
It was a most embarrassing moment
