No hot water! We paid full price for a room that did not have any hot water. Supposedly the water heater went out. No notice to let us know, and no refund or discount on the room. Frustrating.

Clean and comfortable, but no free parking
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were basic but sufficient and very family friendly. I subtracted one star because the hotel tried to charge me an additional $5/night for parking even though the listing claims they offer free parking. Apparently they stopped offering free parking as of Jan 1 but haven't yet updated their listings to reflect this. They didn't tell me about this ahead of time - I only noticed it when reviewing my bill at checkout.

Bad front desk Customer Service
My experience was great when I checked in with Front Desk with Daisy. But I had an issue with John the guy in the front desk . I had mention to Daisy if i could leave the key for the room for my son and she said "yes of course I will leave the key front desk with his name just have him ask for it and he could get it"! I said "great thank you". So my son gets to the hotel ask for the key the at front desk guy 'JOHN" tells him "no you can not have the key if your not the person on the hotel"! My son calls me that John doesn't want to give him the key, so I told my son "hand me the phone so I could talk to him" . so he passes me the phone! John said" I am not giving him nothing because his not on the list and your a third party you don't get the same service "! he hangs up on me !! i don't think that is a great customer service already . So i call back and I told him why he hang up on me and he mentions "I don't have time and I am not giving your son anything"! so he hangs up again. So the third time I ask for the manager and he says 'No-one is here"! and hangs up for the third time.. From there I was really upset I don't think for a great place like Fairfield should have someone unprofessional like this for front desk and customer Service. I also wanted to mention my room wasnt clean the next day so had no room service which I dont now why that wasnt done either. But the customer service John hanging up on me was really bad customer service.

Cold showers
We had several issues during our two night stay. When we arrived we found a pair of underwear stuck behind the toilet. Not sure how that was missed when the room was cleaned. The shower was only lukewarm and actually turned cold on me both times I used it. The breakfast was not restocked often and the second morning most of the food was gone even though it was only an hour into the breakfast time. Upon checkout I discovered that we were charged $5 a day for parking which we were unaware of.

If you care about breakfast, don't stay here
I could only open the window about two inches which i did not like. The quality of products in the shower (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) was extremely poor. The breakfast was the absolute worst i have ever experienced at a hotel. I went down 2 minutes after breakfast was supposed to start and the hot water was ice cold. Every single thing, including packaged items, were inedible. They had bagels but no cream cheese. The waffle maker would not cook the waffles all the way and they offered no toppings. The milk was dated the following day. The bathroom door does not stay open. The top of the closet had about 2 inches of dust on it (i took a picture but this review wont let me add it). The refrigerator wouldnt get cold. The hair dryer was filthy and coated in something. The light in the bathroom was out. The main door slams very loudly.

Great stay
We had a great stay. Very clean, very courteous, great breakfast. Perfect place to stay in Hollister. 1 star less, coz pool was not working, but we could go next door to holiday inn and use their pool. Not convenient, but ok.

Worst stay ever!!!!
Nothing amazing about this stay. The pool was broke and out of order. The tv didn’t work, the phone didn’t work. We had to change rooms, and the shower was like warm to cold in few moments. My Kids and Wife had to take cold showers. This is completely unacceptable

The room was clean but check in was awkward, The girl didn’t explain any fee’s of check my ID. And we couldn’t sleep. The bed in room 212 was horrible. Bed was so flat and firm,my body still aches two days later. I regretted not paying the extra $40 and staying across the street… wouldn’t stay here again. Worst sleep of my life.
