Beautiful property in a quiet but convenient area. Lovely spacious rooms, which were impeccable. Real bonus to have the heated swimming pool in November. Staff were very gracious and accommodating. A few improvements to suggest: maybe some hotel and area information in the rooms would be good; the ‘international TV channels’ advertised aren’t accessible (not an issue for us, but some people may be expecting these); reorganisation of the breakfast area - it’s a stunning setting but quite chaotic due to lack of space between tables and food self service areas. Overall, a beautiful, well maintained hotel, good value and worth the effort of the funicular to Fourvière. We would definitely return here.

We were impressed with the overall hotel layout as a converted convent and the grounds were absolutely beautiful to stroll around. Not many dining options around the area so we ate at the hotel bar due to not having a reservation at the hotel restaurant. Nonetheless the bar menu in Lyon is superb and we were very happy with our hotel stay.

Apparently I need to buy a bathing suit even though mine is new, Staff smoking under our room, disgusting!!! What a waste of time ! Felt like I was staying in a room run by a municipality, stale and felt like a dorm room !! Unable to access pools or hot tubs because I wouldn’t buy a bathing suit from them.
