We were running late to tried to call ahead to arrange a late check in. Unfortunately the AI receptionist "Charlie" was almost impossible to get past unless you ask directly for the front desk. Called at least 10 times before got an answer from a really decent chap called Matt. Obviously overworked and understaffed, he was the highlight of the stay, and sorted us out when we arrived.
Parking is good, food is fine but the hotel is suffering from under investment.
Room was spacious but not pleasant at all. Stains on the carpet and mould, hair and dust in the bathroom. In some areas of the room there was a strong smell of stale urine. We may just have been unlucky, but it was late and I didn't want to bother poor Matt again to change rooms. The room needed a thorough deep clean from top to bottom.
Super location though, and two thumbs up for Matt!
