Location was excellent. It is connected to a nice bar/restaurant, Garvey’s, and you get a free beer or wine or coffee per day there. A pizzeria is right next door. The Nederland er theatre next door. Target grocery store around the corner on 42nd St. Rooms very small but clean. Price was a bargain. Would stay again.

The room itself was rather well decorated and convenient. It was really long to get the water hot in the shower however, and the shower knob really sensible. AC was a bit erratic and noisy.

The hotel is excellently located with everything close by. The rooms are tiny, but then again its New York City. This is the first time I've experienced this. The front desk staff, Natalia, was very helpful and friendly, and made my stay quite nice.

Great hotel right next to Times Square. Bed was so comfortable we wanted to sleep all day. Our room was on the 2nd floor right above the bar but there was no noise from the bar or outside. We also appreciated that it was within walking distance to Penn Station, the Port Authority bus terminal and many subway stops, making it easy to get around. You can’t beat this, especially for the price. Will definitely stay here again.

O hotel tem uma fachada bem simples que não corresponde com a qualidade do quarto que é muito bom. A localização foi o fator principal da minha escolha (no miolo da TImes Square e próximo a 2 principais estações de metrô). O quarto é bom, tem bom tamanho e um chuveiro excelente.

Chambre très mal isolée, l’hôtel est collé à un bar et si vous avez le malheur d’être dans les premiers étages vous avez l’impression d’être au bar au vu du débit sonore. De plus l’eau mets un temps monstrueux à chauffer. Si vous êtes côté route les rideaux ne couvrent rien Je déconseille fortement

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t great, ripped carpet and the glass on the bathroom door was broken. When they changed the sheets there were blood stains on the new ones. The night desk person immediately had someone come strip the bed and change the sheets.

Hotel Shocard is one of my favorite places to stay in New York. The rooms are small but efficient, and the bathrooms are always clean, the tiled design, gold mirrors, and metal doors give it that cool New York feel. The location is everything, especially if you’re in town for theatre. It’s also incredibly convenient for trains and easy access to Midtown, Chelsea, the High Line, and the Meatpacking District. Garvey's Irish Pub right next door is a great little piece of Irish New York, they are friendly and have entertainment on some nights. It’s a boutique spot, so you’ll never be waiting forever for an elevator or dealing with big hotel crowds.
