We stopped here on a road trip and were delighted. The front desk staff, especially Leslie, were warm and kind. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast at the Lumberjack was exactly what we needed, and we were able to find a spot nearby to walk the dogs. 10/10 would stay again.

This Surestay was middle of the road at best. The staff was the highlight (they were all wonderful!). Susanville is a typical NorCal rural town. Everything you need is within a 5-minute drive. We just needed a place to rest between Nevada and Oregon. We chose this motel because it included breakfast and a pool (not one or the other). After 9 hours of driving in the heat we were looking forward to the pool (and to burn off two kids’ energy), but were very disappointed when we arrived. The pool was brown and full of debris and was in the midst of being drained. I guess the good news is they are working on it? At least that would be my hope. The room was fine. Clean. They are working on cosmetic updates: LVP flooring, new mattresses and linens, large TVs. Breakfast at Lumberjacks was nice. Better than continental fare. You order from a menu with three options starting at 7am.

Check in was quick and easy. There was a $20 fee per pet. The room was a little run down, but clean. The towels and bed linen were all clean and free from stains. The furniture was worn and the mattress was really soft. There was a fridge and coffee maker. The exterior of the hotel could use some maintenance, like landscaping. Breakfast is provided by obtaining a voucher from the front desk to the restaurant next door. Overall, I would stay here again for a night if I needed to.

Reserved 2 rooms, first room was deadbolted from the inside so we couldn't even get in almost as if someone was still in the room had to go back to the office to just have to move room because they had no staff to even check the room. The second room was dirty and old and the TV didn't work so I call the front desk and nobody even answered so I had to change all the HDMI cables around to get the TV to work. Next day we get back and can't get into the new first room so had to go all the way back to the office to get the key card updated again.

Broken bathroom floor and screw was up , scratched my foot. Shampoo and conditioner on wall didn’t squeeze out. I washed my hair without them. Notified after. Housekeeper came and she showed us, squeezed hard and shows a little bit shampoo, no conditioner.
