Expectation; communication lacking
Fell for the bait and switch for a better room. The first room offered was on the 2nd floor had no “partial ocean view” as advertised. Could only get a better room by paying significantly more. Which we did because we were so disappointed with the first room. Also, ignore the Hotels.com noise around VIP properties and any status. You aren’t going to get any of those “perks” here. I’m surprised we got the bottle of wine. Which was not very good anyway. The upgrade they say you can get (IF AVAILABLE) is hooey. Didn’t I just pay for the upgrade that should have been free?
The room that we paid extra for was on a higher floor and had very good views. The unit was quite nice. It was cleaned daily by very good and efficient staff
The place itself is nice. The power only went out once and only for about an hour. The rooftop pool is terrific. We used to order drinks and food all day by the pool, but they have doubled the price for everything. I would be curious to know if that business move made them more money or not as it appeared we weren’t the only guests not ordering food and beverages as opposed to our last visit a couple years prior.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are the stars of the show despite management’s poor decision making.
The location of the property is ideal and convenient to local restaurants and shopping.
Will explore other properties in the future as there a lot of options.
