Pros:
-Arrived to the location and was greeted immediately upon arrival and provided keys and lodging
-Friendly innkeeper during normal business hours
-Cameras/surveillance in use
-Fridge in room
-Breakfast made to order (a la carte and placed the day before)
-Two complimentary drinks on day one
-Clean exterior grounds and pool
-On-site street parking
-15 minute walk to city center/mall/Boardwalk
-A/C controls in-room
-Plenty of sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels at your disposal
Cons:
-20 minute drive to nearest beach
-Looks seedy outside of gates with wild dogs roaming at night
-Room #4 is adjacent to laundry room so don’t plan on sleeping in whatsoever
-Lamp shades and upholstery filthy/covered in mildew
-Grout (originally white) filthy brown/gray from not being thoroughly cleaned
-Cats lying on outdoor furniture so you’re covered in pet dander all day long
-Limited dining (but, we knew this ahead of time)
-No citronella or mosquito repellent treatment on-ground
In sum:
6/10. Not too shabby for the price, but you definitely get what you pay for. Next time, I’ll definitely stay at a chain resort/hotel for the quiet, beach access, cleanliness, and additional basic amenities. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind pets, noise, or grime on the tile/upholstery then this might be for you.
