This was over priced and did not represent value for money.
The only positive things I can say are:
1. A fabulous building in a good location! But you need it...
2. Pleasant, helpful staff!
3. A great breakfast - superb in fact! Apart from the coffee (my subjective opinion of course)
Sadly...
Currently no dinner option available. So you need to stride out! Or call in a meal!
I was in the "Lodge". Its a fair distance from the main building so factor that if mobility is an issue. There are stairs, so consider accessibility!
My room was cold. Adjusting the radiator valve made no change - (suspect the boiler off!)
I had a "private bathroom" but it was several pacss across the main access hall way, passing another room, and required a physical key to unlock! A total palaver - lock room door, dash across the hall, unlock bathroom - and the reverse when you are done. A dressing gown was provided - but it was probably sized for a teenager.
Rooms are tired and need a deep clean and fresh decor.
There was tea and coffee making facilities - but no water in the room...so out of the room, lock the door, off to the kitchen, fill the kettle ...you get the picture!
Overall - average! And I think I'm being generous.
