Will not stay there again.
Room waa full of mosquitos. I got bitten 4 times throughout the night. So much noise all over the property until 3:45 in the morning. Sink clogged with hair that was not mines. Upon arrival non of the bottles of wine , champagne and brandy were in my room. I got them on the second day and morning of departure.

The stairs was very filthy no chairs at the pool and beach to lay on everything is either full or restricted area for special guest so if u want to go where there is empty beach chairs u have to pay more!!! Not enough beach chairs and not enough pool chairs either I am very disappointed !!! Need an iron the didn’t have any not enough English speaking people to help with need !!!

Second vist, likely not coming back
This was our second time at Royalton Chic in a year, the first time in January so peak season and it was just great. This last experience as not good at all. Some of the Good and some of the more challenging things we experienced: Good: * Beach/ocean vibe is amazing..some of the best we've been at * Layout of the property is nice and spacious so you don't feel on top of your neighbor * Our "personal concierge" attended to all our dinner reservations and scheduling massages and was very responsive on Whatsapp daily * The weather was perfect for the 4 days we were there, 85 and very little clouds * The bartenders were awesome and had strong pours! The More Challenging: * The only place air conditioning was running was inside the hotel rooms...no meaningful air in the main restaurants(most are open-feel) but even inside it was stifling hot...they need isolated AC in each restaurant b/c it made each meal very uncomfortable * The food was mediocre at best...come to expect that in part at "all inclusive" but b/c it was off-season, some restaurants weren't even open the entire time we were there(4 days) * The bed was hard as a rock...really uncomfortable * The AC even in the bedroom said it could be set at 15C(59F) but it wasn't even close to that so we slept ontop of the sheets every night * ATM not working the entire time...which made it very hard to tip everyone we wanted to * The entertainment was really bad and needs improvement...

Excelente hospedaje, a excepción del check in, me entregaron la habitación dos horas después de la hora prevista. No la tenían listas, 2 horas espera para acceder a nuestras habitaciones.

This property has potential to be very nice but it lacks a team of professionals that maintain the property. The pool tiles are falling apart, rooms smell moldy, building (inside and out) are failing apart. I’ve never been to a resort that isn’t maintained at all. The canapés that you spend all this money on have no working electricity for music, the frig or even charging your phones. The outdoor frig is full of mold and rust… couldn’t believe it. There is no air circulation in the building, it’s so hot and stuffy. And on top of this they have “working girls” that hat check in for 1-2 days at a time to take advantage of tourist in the area. I couldn’t believe it! Never again would I go back to this resort or any of the Royalton brand hotels. The only 3 good things were: The beach Our butler- Roberto And the nightly entertainment/shows

The place was beautiful. The air conditioning was not adequate in my room. It's promoted as a party hotel, but they moved the party from in the lobby into a lounge, which had no A. C. It was excruciatingly hot and then The party died down.They should have just left it outdoors.In the lobby where the bar was because it was so much fun. They forgot to give my friend back her passport. When we checked in which was a little bit annoying. My room was next to the stairs that move garbage so that wasn't fun. The atmosphere was lovely. The pools were great. The vibe was nice, especially there were no children around. But I wish it felt more like I was in Dominican Republic, not in America, where they're trying to make it white and friendly for foreigners. I'm in the Dominican Republic. I wanna feel like I'm in a Spanish country with the food. The music every aspect of it. I don't want to feel like I paid so much money to go on vacation. Just for them to make it friendly for white people in America or the European countries Basically, these hotels are too white.

Property presents as an all-inclusive 21 resort but is honestly more geared towards a retirement lifestyle. Nothing against that but advertising versus what actually exists is important. Definitely would encourage for my parents or even grandparents on their visit to the country but not really geared to a younger demographic.
