Absolutely a Resort, love the rooms, so spacious.

Lovely quaint hotel with traditional rooms. Nice food although can get repetitive if there for a few days. Beautiful beach and kayaking accross the road.
Ilana, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

The resort has a lovely ambience with friendly staff. Lovely dining area and pool. Easy access across the road to the snorkeling area with well laid out facilities around it to relax The room was nice but there is no phone (to call reception for example) No power points in the bathroom No stand or niche to place soap/shampoo etc when you have shower in the outdoor bathroom Major disadvantage was there was no WiFi

Beautiful and peaceful

The hotel, the grounds and the pool are wonderful. The hotel isn't on the beach but it has it's own private lagoon with a small sea wall on the other side of the road and the kayaks there are free to use. The staff are super friendly and we had an amazing two days where we visited the lava fields and blow holes.

For a hotel in this price range, having no Internet in the guest rooms is inexcusable. Also, there are steps within some of the guest rooms, which may be difficult for some guests. The restaurant is very good, but the breakfast buffet is mediocre. Bear in mind, the property straddles, a main road. The guest rooms, restaurant, and swimming pool are on one side, and the ocean is on the other. There is no beach, no sand, just lots of rocks, so the water is inaccessible. Nonetheless, this is undoubtedly the best accommodation on the island, even though some other hotels have sandy beaches.

Nice Staff. clean and beautiful ocean view. There is no beach here but waterfront access and private, We swam in the ocean every day.. They have a waterfront access that they maintain its is clean and private quiet and peaceful. we will definately stay here again when visiting Savaii.

Good overall. Room really needed more cleaning, bird poo all over the window sill was not nice to see. Our second night was terrible due to loud bass and music from the dinner area which extended to 22:10 before we could get sleep. The neighbours were also very noisy sadly.

Beautiful resort in Savai’i

This peaceful resort is located right by the beautiful turquoise colour ocean. We stayed at a poolside villa and it was very quiet, except for the roosters in the morning! We left Apia to catch a ferry. Although it was a long day, the trip was worth it. The only thing we didn’t like about the room was that there was a dead cockroach in the closet. Next day it was still there after the room was cleaned. Instead of removing the dead cockroach, the cleaner took all of our water bottles. We needed them to refill our drinking water and they weren’t even empty. It was strange. Other than that one minor incident, we loved it there.

It is a beautiful place to stay. Perfect distance from the city. However, wish they had a phone in the rooms to be able to contact reception, kitchen or housekeeping for assistance with ordering food especially after a tiring day and just want to eat in or needing extra bathroom products like towels or toilet paper especially after hours. Also there were no options for washing to be done as we were sent down the laundry mat to complete our own washing. We had to keep walking up to reception to ask for simple things when a call by phone like many other hotels would suffice. Could do with a better band or just a young vibe during dinner time. Besides the things mentioned above. Amoa is a beautiful place to stay. If they can fix the little things it would be a great boost for their hospitality service and the best place to stay. Looking forward to seeing growth.

4/10 Fair

Our stay at Amoa Resort entailed a roller coaster of emotions. Upon arrival, we were rather peckish & thought we’d treat ourselves to a nibble from the restaurant. We got a pizza which had hairs buried so deep underneath the cheese it had nearly fossilised. If I was an archeologist, I would predict this hair to have been at least a year old. Disgusting. We then went back to our room to find our data access had been blocked. You had to pay $15 per head for access to their wifi. That is some evil knieval planning. The wifi we then bought was so slow it was like they got the modem out of a weetbix box. We then went to the pool to cool off. Unfortunately this was off the cards as the pool was warmer than a spa and it had so many dead bugs floating it, it looked like a spiders cereal bowl. Please do better.
Phoebe, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a staff member named Helen. She was pleasant to deal with. Prior to checking in, I had spoken to a staff member named Olivia over the phone twice and everything seemed to be going well. While in our room, we were informed by Helen that Olivia had booked another room for us and told us we could move. When asked if there was an extra charge, we were informed there wasn’t, thus we moved rooms. The room appeared clean and comfortable but there were a lot of bed bugs. We had streaks of blood where our legs were when we woke up from the bed bugs – we were really itchy when trying to go to bed. When we were checking out, we were surprised and informed that there was an extra charge due to the room change despite staff failing to inform us of this. The charge was almost 300 Samoan tala and when we told Olivia we should’ve been informed the night before and that this is staff’s mistake because they failed to provide us with this information the staff who made the change seemed dismissive and we still had to pay. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to sleep comfortably and to leave without paying extra charges without being told prior.

Beautiful view! Private Fale! Really good food!

We loved staying in our own little fale! It was comfortable and private! The views at the beach across the street were so stunning! They have a walk out pier with the perfect view! It’s a relaxing environment and everyone is so friendly and kind! You can swim at the pool or the beach! We’ll definitely stay here the next time we come to Savaii! We ate dinner there once and it was our favorite meal in the week we were in Samoa.
You can see the pier from here.
